J. Mark Craun is a
shareholder of the Firm and a member of the Firm’s Litigation Section.
Mr. Craun’s practice areas include: Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense,
Medical Malpractice Defense, Products Liability Defense and Commercial
Litigation.
Mr. Craun has been a trial
lawyer for more than 26 years, with an emphasis in civil litigation. His
primary practice has involved healthcare, construction, product liability
and commercial litigation. Mr. Craun and the lawyers working under his
supervision have handled hundreds of cases brought against individuals,
businesses and insurance companies, including personal, property,
professional and commercial lines. The exposure of these clients has ranged
from several thousand dollars to several million dollars. Mr. Craun has
tried numerous jury trials in State and Federal Court, and has represented
clients involved in Multi-District Litigation in Federal Court. Mr. Craun
and the lawyers he supervises have also handled numerous cases involving
high exposure product liability claims (medical devices and pharmaceutical
drugs), as well as general commercial litigation.
Mr. Craun received his B.B.A.
in Business from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1979. He received his
M.B.A. in 1980 from Baylor University. He received his J.D. in 1983 from
the Baylor University School of Law. Mr. Craun has been admitted to
practice in the State of Texas since 1983. He is also admitted to practice
before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas;
the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas; and the
United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
Mr. Craun is a Fellow of the
Texas Bar Foundation and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is a
member of the American Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association and
the Texas Association of Defense Counsel.

Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P.
