R. Jo Reser
R. Jo Reser is a shareholder of the Firm and a member of the Firm’s Litigation Section. She graduated from Stanford University with Honors (BA, 1973) and the University of Texas Law School (JD, 1975). She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1976 and is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and all four United States District Courts in Texas. For the past 25 years Ms. Reser has tried numerous jury trials in Federal and State Court. She concentrates her practice in the defense of commercial litigation cases, products liability cases and professional liability cases. She is also a mediator trained by the Dispute Resolution Center, Austin Texas. Ms. Reser is a frequent speaker at professional seminars, including the 2005 University of Texas Law School – Page Keeton Advanced Civil Litigation Seminar, (Cross-Examination) 2004 University of Houston Law Foundation The Jury Trial Winning Tactics From Winning Attorneys, (Cross-Examination) 2003 Chairperson State Bar of Texas 10th Annual Advanced Medical Malpractice Course, 2003 IADC Spring Meeting (HIPAA); 2000 St. Mary’s/Texas Tech Universities Schools of Law Medical Malpractice Conference (Litigating Personal Injury Cases Under the New Discovery Rules); 2000 State Bar of Texas 7th Annual Advanced Medical Malpractice Course (New Theories of Liability in Managed Health Care Litigation). Ms. Reser is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, The American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the International Women’s Forum. Ms. Reser has been Board Certified in Personal Injury and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1981.  |
