Irwin D. Zucker
Irwin D.
Zucker is a shareholder of the Firm and a member of the Firm’s Estate
Planning and Probate and Business Sections. Mr. Zucker served with the
Internal Revenue Service for ten years as a senior estate tax attorney. His
duties involved investigation of estates in excess of $5,000,000.00. Mr.
Zucker is licensed to practice law before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S.
District Courts for the Western District of Texas and the District of
Nevada.
Mr. Zucker
received an undergraduate degree at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio
(BBA. 1966) and his law degree at the University of Detroit, Detroit,
Michigan (JD 1971).
He is a member of
the San Antonio Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of
Nevada. He is the immediate past chairman of the University Health System
Foundation Board.
Mr. Zucker was
admitted to practice in the State of Nevada in 1972, in the State of Ohio in
1974 and in the State of Texas in 1978. He is Board Certified by the Texas
Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate since 1986 and
Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Tax Law since
1983. He is a frequent speaker at seminars. In addition, Mr. Zucker is an
Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he teaches
various tax courses in the graduate program. Mr. Zucker has extensive
knowledge and experience in commercial real estate transactions and has
represented developers, purchasers of commercial properties, sellers of
commercial properties and lenders.
Mr. Zucker limits his
practice to Estate Planning and Probate, Tax Planning and Tax Controversies,
Business Entities, and Transactional Real Estate.
